Wolverhampton Community Safety Partnership

Wolverhampton Community Safety Partnership was set up in 1994 to work in partnership towards making Wolverhampton a safer place to live, work and visit. Our partners include statutory agencies such as the Police, Local Authority and Probation Service.
We also work closely with voluntary agencies like Victim Support and Age Concern. Community safety cannot be achieved without the support and involvement of community groups, such as The Sphere Network and the citizens of Wolvrhampton.

WCSP Community Safety Grants enables not for profit community groups and voluntary organisations that provide a service to the public develop crime reduction and community safety initiatives locally. Grants are available for up to 50% of the total project cost, to a maximum o £5,000.

If you would like more information, you can contact the Community Safety Team on (01902) 572014 or email wcsp@btconnect.com

New Neighbourhood Policing coming to your community soon

Statistics from the British Crime Survey indicate a fall in overall crime, however the fear of becoming a victim of crime is on the increase and this negatively impacts on the Communities.

A new Neighbourhood Police initiative will be introduced to address the issues that matter most to communities. This style of policing will concentrate on long-term problem solving rather then simply responding to time and time again to calls for assistance. The Policing structure will work with local partners and local residents to tackle local problems.

Neighbourhood policing is a real opportunity to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour, help install respect and decency in your local area and help build stronger communities.
