Barriers

The Under 14`s(07) attended a friendly  against Everton Football Club at their  brand new training ground, arranged by our sponsor and by brother Temper (Arron Bird ).We had a great day ,travelling to Merseyside to play at a premiership club (one of the biggest  in Europe) to enjoy their facilities. We gave a presentation of flowers to Rhys the young Everton fan who got shot in Liverpool. It was a great experience and fantastic for our club, as Everton do not usually host junior football clubs like ours. I would like to thank all the parents and players for making it a special day.

Take a look at a number of photographs taken on our visit to Everton Football Club Training ground.

Top junior football club needs minors

Our football club is looking for new players.
The club, based in Wolverhampton’s Ashmore Park, has won the support of local councillor Phil Bateman.
“Ashmore Park Rangers is a team going places – that is for sure!” said Cllr Bateman.
“What a support staff they must have! At a time where there is so much negative comment about young people, just have a look at the roll call of honour being established at this club.”
“I take my hat off to all the staff and parents who work incredibly hard to support such a large group of young players. They must have a really incredible bunch of supporters”
Dave Jones, chairman of the Club said:” This is very much a mild season report of activity. This club was founded only five years ago, and each year the clubs strength has multiplied, giving unprecedented success both in the back room support and on the pitch.
“Now Ashmore Park Rangers are rated as one of the strongest clubs in the Walsall Junior League. Season 2007/08 has so far been a great season and with all the teams participating in their respective divisions and cup competitions.”
Ashmore Park Rangers currently runs teams ranging in age from under sevens through to under fourteen. All are successful in their own way.

The club is now looking to start a new minors’ team for current year one children, anyone interested in joining the club contact Colin Jennings 07984134236 or John Bird on 07851620120.

On July 1st and 2nd 2006 Ashmore Park Rangers organized a children's football tournament at the Wolverhampton United ground on the Prestwood Road, Wolverhampton. Children from 6 to 12 years took part in football coaching sessions which proved to be an excellent opportunity to promote health and exercise awareness. Every player that took part received a commemorative medal, winners received cups and trophies. A donation from refreshment proceeds went to the Children with Leukaemia Charity. A huge thank you goes to all who volunteered their time and commitment.
